About Kidd Camp
Kidd Camp Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2024 to create inclusive opportunities for friendship, employment, recreation, education, engagement and growth.
Why I founded Kidd Camp
“Inclusion must be more than an invitation. It must create relationships, purpose and real opportunities to contribute.”
My work has allowed me to stand alongside young adults with disabilities, their families, employers, educators and community partners throughout East Texas. I have seen extraordinary talent overlooked, families left to navigate life after high school without enough support and young adults given too few opportunities to build friendships, develop independence, or contribute through meaningful work.
I founded Kidd Camp because I believe inclusion must create genuine relationships, a sense of purpose, opportunities to contribute and support that honors each person’s voice, choices, strengths and goals.
My East Texas roots taught me the importance of faith, family, hard work and neighbors showing up for one another. That is the kind of community I want Kidd Camp to help build—one where neurodivergent young adults and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are not defined by what others believe they cannot do.
They deserve to be known, valued, included and given real opportunities to thrive.

Our approach
Each person brings individual strengths, preferences, goals and support needs. Our work follows the disability-rights principle: Nothing about us without us.
We collaborate with young adults, families, employers, educators, service providers, civic organizations and volunteers across East Texas.

Leadership
Art brings direct experience in employment services, disability inclusion, nonprofit leadership and community partnership. His vision is an East Texas where neurodivergent young adults and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are known by their strengths and connected to real opportunities.
